Warhammer plus12/25/2023 ![]() I haven't seen the price for it yet.but if it is standalone and costs any more than like 1-2€/$ a month then it's quite simply a rip-off.because with such a small lineup you will have seen it all within the first weekend of it launching.and then you're stuck with a subscription that might deliver you another 30 minutes of content a week or so if you're lucky. ![]() Netflix by comparison is like what.8€/$ or whatever a month and you get access to a catalogue of HUNDREDS of movies and THOUSANDS of episodes of TV shows and Netflix exclusives. (Personal opinions ahead!)There are complaints because they have the audacity to bring up a monthly subscription with a starting content lineup that can be watched in probably less than a day.with half of the content being stuff that used to be free, made by fans of the community. Don't pay for a subscription until you are sure the service actually works (Aforementioned Warhammer app). You are free to put in as much money as you wish but if I might offer some of that free advice. I call them sceptics and scepticism is healthy in this hobby. ![]() How many people who saw Astartes on youtube will know where to find Astartes 2?Ĭall them jerks if you want. I for example wonder if Warhammer plus is actually more harm than good to the animators as it provides them with funding but severely limits their exposure. That was released as a subscription service and didn't work on delivery, their criticism should be taken as wise words of wisdom because history often does repeat. The Warhammer App is still a testimony to that fact. Some people are critical of the streaming service because Games Workshop does not have a good track record when it comes to tech skills. Some people have already paid for some of these projects through donations and Patreon and are now being asked to pay a subscription to buy access to a project they already supported, I'd imagine they are not happy and might be complaining. Some people are criticizing Warhammer plus as a subscription service because it's woefully lacking in content for a monthly sub, and animation, as you said, takes hard work and a lot of time so it's unlikely they will spawn new content quickly so it is not likely to be worth the cost. Yes, some people want the animations for free. As always there is a lot more to it than that. I think you have oversimplified a lot of criticism towards the new service under the ideal that everyone who isn't hyped for Warhammer plus is just a jerk who wants things for free. Tell your grandmas I'll be over for Sunday brunch and for God's sake clean the basement.Ĥth edit: I'm getting downvotes but no counter points to the actual arguments. Stuff isn't free to make so why are we acting like this?Ģnd edit: if you don't have a link to evidence don't waste my time.ģrd edit: I'm out for the night nerds. Its about time a lot of us grow up or get out. I trust astartes, exodite, and every other creator who jumped on board because they are living the dream. (Going to Hulu, Netflix etc.) Personally I can't wait for it and will pay as long as they are producing good content. It doesn't matter what they did you lot would have groaned about how it's not free anymore and that their selling out. There will still be ads but GW won't see a dime. Let's all be honest how long would it take before Vulkan killing that Eldar child would get demonetized? almost instantly. A lot of you guys get so negative whenever anything comes from GW.īut Now they're making us pay for hardworking animators? The horror /s
